If you are seriously interested, and are in a position to join this project, please get in touch as soon as possible. What happens next will depend on the people who get involved.

To make it happen, people with money, probably from the sale of their house, will be needed, as sites with residential planning permission are expensive. However, people with little or no money, but with energy and enthusiasm are also needed. We just need to find the right mix of people, who can work together to make things happen.

If you are not sure if this project is right for you, please get in touch anyway. It's not practical to put more than a summary of ideas on this web site, and at this early stage much is up for discussion.

We have a contact list of Members and Friends, so when you contact us to join, please say which list you would like to be on.

Members

A Member is someone who is seriously interested in being a resident of an eco-hamlet. They may be ready now, or not for several years, and joining does not entail any commitment, but they must demonstrate that they have a serious interest, and will respect other group members. On application they will receive by e-mail:

• The current and back numbers of our Newsletter
• Link to our Online Survey¹, with a request to complete it

Once a Member has completed the survey in a way that shows they are serious, they will be given access to:

• Our Google E-Mail Group²
• Our Member's Private Web Site

If a member does not complete the survey within a reasonable time, or appears to show no serious interest, they will be transferred to the Friends List, be removed from the Google Group and have their access to the Private Web Site removed. This will be done in fairness to existing Members.

Anyone who is interested in following our progress, or may be able to offer help and support will be a Friend, and will receive:

¹Online Survey - Our survey is used to gather relevent information on what members are looking for and what they can offer. It has proved very useful so far in developing the group.

²Google Group - We use this e-mail group to get to know each other, discuss potential sites and organise the project. Members may unsubscribe if they wish, but will miss out on much of our activity.
